“Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” is about a mother from a small town who fights to get justice for her murdered daughter. But this is not your usual drama and there are no weepy flashbacks or back stories. We are put right in between the angered mother and an earnest police chief trying to solve a case with no leads. I had loved Woody Harrelson in the ‘True Detective’ series and it’s almost like a continuation in this one. Oh god! his voice and that monologue near the interval.. Goose bumps!!. Each of the supporting characters and their nuances are captured in a beautiful way. The movie makes you weep and laugh in the most expected situations and does it with such ease. I haven’t watched all of the best picture nominees for Oscar but I would still root for this one. ♥️
