Desi Klub in tucked in a nice spot on the Harrington road next to the Lady Andal school. True to it ‘desi’ tag, you can find a lot of kitschy decorations adorning its walls. Its a medium sized place serving vegetarian food and could accommodate 50 people.
The service was attentive and we got the water and the menu cards in a jiffy. The Menu puts a smile on the face with funny throwback to Hindi films. Hum saath saath hai – Two cousins came together to sizzle your taste buds 😛 .. Hum aapke spicy corn – Corn kernels in Sriracha sauce :-P… you get the idea..
We had the crispy panneer canapes, Utterly butterly baked vada pav, loaded Nachos, Cheese chill pakoda and a few more for starters. Considering the amount of cheese and butter we had hogged with the starters, we skipped the main course and dived direct to the desserts. Hot fudge sundae and chic choc both with generous amount of nuts closed our satisfying meal.
Desi Klub is worth visiting for the starters and the desserts alone. It also deserves a special mention for its innovative plating skills. The dishes arrive in cute little toys and plated with creativity. Gimmicks all aside, the food is real tasty and we loved it. Do check it out…
