For years, I’ve had this nagging feeling whenever I see a Hollywood epic like LOTR or gladiator. Why haven’t someone attempted a film like this in India? Our mythologies are far more creative and deeper than the western ones. Me and my roommates have spent hours discussing at nights on how to picturise “Immortals of Meluha”. All those thoughts have shattered away with this movie!
Flying boats, stampeding bulls, and sky-high castles would give a stiff competition to any Hollywood production. With a few cast members and a simple storyline, Rajamouli has woven an epic on the support of visual grandeur. While there were a few story slips and graphic inconsistencies, this one is beyond anything we’ve ever seen in Indian cinema. Bahubali is the film that deserves to be the highest grosser of India! Absolutely proud of the team which has achieved this feat! Jai Magizhmathi!! _/\_
